Global Voices Global Voices will be meeting in the library at lunch tomorrow. We will talk about the focus areas the club picked and start our next steps.
Broadcasting Club The Broadcasting Club will meet again on Friday at lunch this week in Room 242. We had a great group of creative students come to the first meeting, but are always happy to have new members join us.
7/8 XC Our grade 7 and 8 runners took on the rest of south region yesterday, and showed great grit and determination and that they were up to the challenge. Our grade 7 girls started the day with a team win, beating Stratford schools by a team score of 17-19! Kiara McGregor easily outpaced the other runners placing 1st, Skylar Fadelle took the bronze medal with great run, Rylee Nethercott finished 7th, Sydney Grant 8th, Raella Brodhagen 11th, and Jadence Buuck 13th. Amazing work girls!
Our gr 7 boys battled hard in their race finishing 2nd overall. Griffin McGregor ran a great race, finishing 3rd. Quin Bolton finished 7th, Hayden Brintnell was 11th, and Callum McIntosh was 12th. Great work boys!
Our grade 8s also had a great day! The girls were led by Anna Ropp finishing on the podium in 3rd place. Avery Jones and Charlotte Clinton continued to do everything together, battling each other to the finish line. Avery finished 5th, with Charlotte only a meter behind in 6th. Rachel Hoyles finished our team with a great run finishing 8th. These amazing finishes meant another team win!
Our 2 boys ran well also. Ryan Hodkinson got onto the podium with a 3rd place finish. Bodi Deboer ran to a very fast 7th place finish!
Mr. Morton is so proud to be a Saluki!! What an amazing community we have! Congratulations runners! AMDSB championships next week! And YES, practice today!
