The Smoke Free Ontario Act 2017, which came in to force in October 2018 prohibits smoking and vaping in public schools, including the grounds associated with the school, and public areas within 20 meters of the grounds of the school.  Students found vaping or smoking in the school, on school property or within 20 meters of school property will be subject to a ticket and a fine of $305 in addition to school consequences.
