There are a number of scholarship deadlines coming up over the next few weeks. Read over the below and apply before the deadlines so you don’t miss out!

Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Bursary — $1,500 
Due  April 9, 2017
  • Must be children/dependents of current, full-time, municipal employees or elected Municipal Councillors in Ontario.
  • Applying to/entering an engineering program at an Ontario or Canadian university.
  • Demonstrated an interest in, and contribution to, their community through active participation in extracurricular activities at their high school and/or in civic organizations;

Libro Student Awards — $2000
Due April 12, 2017
  • Full-time students that are residents of southwestern Ontario, age 17-25, who are enrolled in a Canadian college, university or apprenticeship programs for the 2017-2018 academic year
  • Youth who demonstrate outstanding commitment to their community while balancing academic success  –  at least 3 volunteer and/or leadership experiences
  • Current minimum academic average of 67% or higher

Larry McGrath Memorial Silverstick Scholarship Application — $500
Due: April 15, 2017
OSSTF Federation Family Bursary –$1,000 
Due: April 15, 2017
• To assist the children of OSSTF members to enter post-secondary college or university programs.
• Criteria include involvement in school and community.
  • Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in university or college in Canada in the fall
  • Minimum academic average of 70% in your final year of secondary school
  • Participation in volunteer activities

Fourth Degree Pro Deo and Pro Patria (Canada) Scholarships — $1,500
Due:  May 1, 2017
  • A Canadian student entering freshman year of an undergraduate program at a Canadian college or university
  • A member in good standing in a Canadian council of the Knights of Columbus, or the son or daughter of such a member or deceased member.
